Villa Fuga is our home and a source of some pride for us. A great deal of care was taken to be as eco-friendly as possible, by choosing energy efficient appliances, using local/natural materials, and solar panels to provide the hot water for the house. Fuga vacation house is situated in a small but lively Dalmatian village of Seoca. While the house itself is nestled in the foothills of the mountain, Mosor, it faces the mountain, Biokovo, providing stunning mountain views, whose sunsets will leave you breathless. If you prefer nature, serenity, and clean fresh air to crowded tourist filled areas, Villa Fuga is the ideal place for your next vacation. |
What's in a name? |
Fuga. We choose to name this house Fuga, because it has two meanings. The most common is comes from the latin word fugare which can mean to put to flight, escape. Obviously, we prefer escape. The second definition is from the Croatian meaning the filling used between two stones, tiles, etc. The villa is a traditional stone house so there are lots of fuge throughout. Whichever definition ---- Fuga seemed appropriate.

A Little History |
The house, know today as villa Fuga, had been hand built by a great great uncle, who was a stonemason. The house has been passed down in the family from generation to generation. Over the years it has served many purposes, such as being used to house the family cow and horse to storing potatoes and other produce. Its builder had intended it to be a family house. Now after nearly a century, it has finally fulfilled it original purpose.
